REFLECTION
Conclusion.
In short, finishing this entire DC journey was a very intriguing experience for me. It's been a rich learning programme, providing me with valuable skills that will continue to shape my development. Throughout this module, I've honed my Discipline Specific Knowledge (TGC 1.0) by mastering various drawing and design techniques—such as architectural lettering, tonal values, and rendering. Moreover, I can complete presentation boards by composing and interpreting visual information into 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional drawings clearly and effectively. This enhance my communication skills. (TGC 4.0) Besides that, I've cultivated thinking and problem-solving abilities (TGC 3.0) and embraced lifelong learning (TGC 2.0). When faced with challenges in creating axonometric and perspective drawings of Farnsworth House, I independently sought solutions through online resources and supplementary videos, fostering critical thinking and self-directed learning. Although not overly challenging, this module demanded significant time, effort, patience, and innovative thinking. The major difficulties I had were with time management. Since I'm constantly focusing too intently on details, it takes me a long time and results in a lack of time. I aim to improve in this aspect moving forward. Overall, I think by the end of this session, I will be able to gaining heightened skills in visualizing and expressing spatial concepts through architectural drawings, ensuring effective and apt delivery of my artwork and presentation boards.
Learning Experience.
The blend of physical and online learning has been a valuable and engaging experience for me. From my perspective, face-to-face classes hold significant importance as they allow for effective learning and personalized feedback from tutors, which might be lacking in online settings. However, online platforms like Facebook and myTimes play a crucial role in facilitating the teaching and learning process. They serve as excellent mediums for announcements, document uploads, and independent learning opportunities at home. Before the end, I want to express my gratitude to the module coordinator, Dr. Filzani Illia Ibrahim, for her responsible and amiable approach toward every student. Additionally, I extend my deepest thanks to my tutor, Ar. Zahari, whose patience, motivation, and invaluable guidance have been consistently supportive throughout the entirety of the tasks.
