Architectural Design I serves as an introductory course to architectural design. This initial module focuses on conveying and exploring design concepts related to the understanding of 'self,' the body, construction, materiality, and tectonics. Through studio-based activities and assignments, students will engage in exercises that introduce fundamental methods, principles, and approaches to design thinking and basic spatial design. Additionally, the course incorporates an exploration of anthropometrics and the design of intrapersonal space, employing creative exercises that involve user body movements and experiences.
