Architectural Design II introduces the principles and methods of design thinking, focusing on analysis, abstraction, and synthesis in architecture. Emphasizing the relationship between the user and the natural environment, students will engage in studio-based exercises, including precedent studies, form and space exploration, and designing a small freestanding structure that responds to user needs and site context. The module aims to develop an understanding of spatial architectonics, 2D and 3D compositions, various design processes, and the importance of space planning in meeting functional and human needs.
