Project 2 (Group)
"Case Study – Green Buildings in Malaysia"
In this group assignment, five students will research and analyze a "green" building accredited by national or international bodies like GBI, LEED, or BREEAM. We'll focus on environmental strategies applied in one chosen building, aiming to visit it if possible. The findings will be presented on an A1 poster and condensed into a 1-minute video for social media. Objectives include raising awareness about green buildings' role in addressing climate change, sharing insights on environmental strategies through a case study, and promoting sustainable practices in architecture to encourage environmentally conscious designs.
ARTWORK
A1 Presentation Board
Our group selected Pam Center in Bangsar for our green building case study in Malaysia. After conducting a site visit, we thoroughly examined and reflected on the environmental strategies implemented at Pam Center, focusing on energy performance, comfort, and health aspects. We compiled all collected data and emphasized the significance of sustainable architectural practices and their positive impact on climate change mitigation on an A1 poster.

Reflection
TGC 1.0: Discipline Specific Knowledge
In this assignment, I am able to examine environmental factors in relation to natural or passive building design strategies used to achieve comfort level. I gained the knowledge on green buildings that applied passive design strategics and the criteria for GBI rating. These helps promoting sustainable practices in architecture and encourage environmentally conscious designs.
TGC 2.0: Lifelong Learning
This assignment allowed me to adeptly gather, synthesize, and relate environmental design considerations with local authorities, including understanding building regulations and sustainability rating tools about the Pam center, integrating them into A1 poster. Furthermore, I showcased my ability for self-directed learning by independently having site visit and researching for the data and insights of the green building.
