REFLECTION
Conclusion.
In short, completing the AD1 journey has been a stimulating and challenging experience, offering a rich learning opportunity that will continue to shape my development. Throughout this module, I've refined my Discipline Specific Knowledge (TGC 1.0) by mastering design principles, structural methods, joints, and their application. Additionally, I've improved my communication skills (TGC 4.0) through creating clear and effective orthogonal/axonometric drawings to present final designs on presentation boards. Moreover, I've cultivated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities (TGC 3.0) and embraced lifelong learning (TGC 2.0) by translating architectural elements into tangible forms like tattoo stamps and models. I've also bolstered my Interpersonal Skills (TGC 5.0) by learning effective team cooperation. This journey also enhanced my Intrapersonal Skills (TGC 6.0) through reflections and considering the impact of actions on shaping spaces positively. Regarding Citizenship and Global Perspectives (TGC 7.0), I've developed the ability to craft intentional narratives, explaining designs in relation to sensory experiences of spaces in Project 3. This module presented challenges, particularly in time management due to my inclination towards focusing deeply on details. Moving forward, I aim to improve this aspect. By the end of this session, I trust that I have improved myself in presenting and explaining designs that encapsulate 'self,' the body, construction, materiality, and anthropometrics, enriching the understanding of intrapersonal space design through creative exercises involving user experiences and movements.
Learning Experience.
The combination of physical and online learning has been a rich and rewarding experience for me. I believe face-to-face classes offer invaluable benefits, providing effective learning and personalized feedback from tutors that online settings may not always replicate. Nevertheless, online platforms like Facebook and myTimes play a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning process. They serve as excellent tools for announcements, document sharing, and fostering independent learning from home. As I conclude, I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to our module coordinator, Ar. Chang Yan Yee, for her responsible and approachable demeanor toward every student. Furthermore, my deepest thanks go to my tutor, Ar. Teoh Way Keat, whose patience, motivation, engaging teaching methods, and invaluable guidance have been consistently supportive throughout the entirety of our tasks.
