REFLECTION
Conclusion.
In summary, completing the AHT journey has been a captivating experience. It's been an enriching program that provided extensive insights into architectural development, spanning from ancient times to the modern era. Throughout this module, I've refined my Discipline-Specific Knowledge (TGC 1.0) by applying architectural theories, exploring various styles and components across different eras in completing assignments focused on booklets and posters. Furthermore, I've significantly improved my ability to articulate and visualize ideas using drawings and graphics, thereby enhancing my communication skills (TGC 4.0). This journey has also fostered my critical thinking and problem-solving skills (TGC 3.0), fostering a mindset of lifelong learning (TGC 2.0). An example of this was encountering challenges with an unfamiliar AR app. Despite initial struggles, I took the initiative to extensively research and watch tutorials, recognizing the opportunity to acquire new skills that will prove beneficial in the long run. To be honest, memorizing architectural history theories for exams posed a significant challenge for me. Additionally, managing time effectively has been an ongoing hurdle, especially as I tend to delve deeply into details, leading to time constraints. I'm determined to improve in this aspect going forward. Overall, I think by the end of this session, I will have enhanced my skills in expressing architectural components through visual mediums and deepened my comprehension of architectural theory by delving into intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language, and contextual relationships.
Learning Experience.
My overall learning experience in AHT has been quite good. The combination of physical and online learning has proven to be incredibly valuable and engaging. Personally, I find face-to-face classes to be significantly beneficial as they facilitate effective learning and offer more immediate feedback. Nevertheless, online platforms such as Facebook and myTimes play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning processes. They serve as excellent channels for announcements, sharing documents, and enabling independent learning from home. As we near the end, I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to the module coordinator, Dr. Filzani Illia Ibrahim, for her responsible and approachable demeanor towards every student. Furthermore, I extend my deepest gratitude to my tutor, Ar. Nik Syazwan, whose patience and constructive feedback have been consistently supportive throughout all the tasks.
